The Fray Angelico Chavez Chapter (FACC) is a non-profit organization located in Pueblo, Colorado. The FACC parent organization is the Genealogical Society of Hispanic America. Its purpose is to promote on-going genealogical research, comprised of the study of family history, tracing lineages and recording ancestral information.
The FACC conducts meetings, seminars, and workshops to educate and disseminate genealogical information. The FACC establishes, maintains, and nurtures relationships with various institutions, i.e., schools and colleges; government, churches, social, and philanthropic groups and the media to enhance the objectives of the organization. The FACC will constantly make an effort to recruit new members whenever possible
The FACC maintains an ever growing library of books, records, journals, films and resources for our members to find their ancestors. Look at the Library section on the website for a list of materials in the library. The materials are available for check-out or study during research hours, 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at our monthly meetings, usually at the Pueblo Heritage Center, 201 West B St., across the street from the Union Station in Pueblo, CO. From 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. we have our business meeting, after which there usually is a presentation by a speaker on a particular genealogical topic.
